AITO specialist operator ceases trading
AITO member Simply Sweden has ceased trading with 81 bookings, affecting 217 customers.
The South Humberside-based operator also traded as Simply Northern Lights and sold holidays via its websites simplynorthernlights.co.uk and simplysweden.co.uk.
It didn’t have any passengers abroad when it stopped trading yesterday, said the Civil Aviation Authority.
All packages are covered by Simply Sweden’s ATOL while accommodation-only bookings are being referred to Affirma Insurance Claims. All other enquiries should be addressed to corporate recovery specialists Redman Nichols Butler in Scunthorpe.
Founded in 2006 by its managing director Christopher Graham, Simply Sweden joined AITO in 2014. It carried about 700 passengers a year.
Simply Sweden and Simply Northern Lights websites have been closed, but a message on the sites states: "It is with deep regret that Simply Sweden has ceased trading. I wish to thank all our customers, agents, friends and suppliers for all the happy memories over the years."
