Alana is new kid on the Seminyak block
Archipelago International has opened its first Alana property, a four-star, 121-room resort located in Seminyak, Bali.
The Indonesia-based hotel company, with its two- and three-star brands, Quest and Fave, and soon to launch Neo brand, expects its latest franchise to appeal to Indonesia’s swelling inbound numbers and steady domestic market.
"The Alana is a reflection of a growing demographic across Indonesia looking for affordable luxury," said Archipelago International chairman, Charles Brookfield.
Brookfield opened resorts in numerous destinations, including Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii and Guam before bringing the "condotel" concept to Indonesia and launching Aston International in 1997.
The Alana fits a demand somewhere between Archipelago’s full-service Aston hotel franchise and its more villa-inspired Kamuela properties.
A second Alana hotel is currently under construction in Surabaya.
