Alaska Airlines names new planning and strategy EVP
Alaska Airlines has named Shane Tackett to executive vice president of planning and strategy.
It represents a promotion for 18-year Alaska veteran Tackett who was previously the airline’s senior vice president of revenue and e-commerce, and joined the carrier in 2000 as an analyst.
In the new role he will have responsibility for financial planning, revenue analysis, e-commerce, business transformation and labor relations.
Tackett was instrumental in introducing the airline’s Premium Class product.
"Shane’s expertise, innovative thinking and analytical acumen have made impactful and long-lasting improvements in every area of the company that he’s led over the past 18 years," said Brad Tilden, chairman and CEO of Alaska Airlines.
Tilden announced the airline will incorporate its commercial and frontline functions under the leadership of president and COO Ben Minicucci.
"Creating even stronger partnership across teams will be critical for our continued success as we strengthen our culture and make the most of our growth over the last 18-plus months. Ben and Shane are proven leaders who will do a terrific job with these new responsibilities."," Tilden added.
