Alaska Airlines rolls out VeriFLY for international passengers
Alaska Airlines is the latest airline to implement digital health app VeriFLY.
It will deploy the app for international inbound flights starting on 5 February and allows customers to learn about the testing and entry protocols ar different destinations.
Passengers can upload their Covid-19 test results and complete the health attestation form.
After the documents have been uploaded, VeriFLY checks and then validates the information, which may take several hours.
On departure the information is checked by an Alaska agent before going through normal check-in procedures.
All flyers on inbound flights to the US must show proof of a negative Covid-19 taken within 72 hours of departure.
Use of the VeriFLY app is optional, although the airline says it will streamline procedures and save time at the airport.
American Airlines has also deployed the VeriFLY app and British Airways has just started using it on transatlantic flights from London.
