All conferences and exhibitions should have free wifi

Sunday, 14 Dec, 2010 0

campaign launched by planeta.com boss Ron Mader

“Want free Wi-Fi at your conference, hotel or university classroom? Ask for it.  Want accessible travel or responsible tourism? The logic remains the same — ask for it!” Says Ron Mader of Planeta.com

The Campaign  for Free Wi-Fi! planeta.wikispaces.com/wifi  asks for a thoughtful and creative use  of wired space with an invitation and challenge for tourism pros to make the most of the technology.

The campaign pays particular attention to events in the tourism and conservation spheres.

And Planeta.com says that it is keen to work with innovative conference organizers as they incorporate free  Wi-Fi with live  streaming  during events. Bonus points for those who use Wi-Fi to create meaningful connections among visitors and locals beyond the conference walls. We ask conference organizers as well as speakers and participants to let us know if the events offer Wi-Fi and live streaming  and to what degree there are parallel or fringe events that connect locals and visitors.
