All Nippon Airways names new CEO

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways has named Yuji Hirako as its next president and CEO.
 
Hirako, 59, replaces Osamu Shinobe and is currently a corporate executive officer and director at ANA Holdings.
 
Shinobe will become vice chairman of the holding company when the changeover takes place on April 1.
 
Hirako has been with ANA and its predecessor since 1981 and previously worked as department chief in various areas including group sales and marketing, corporate planning and revenue management.
 
He also served as vice president for The Americas.
 
ANA this week launched its newest route from Tokyo’s Narita Airport to Mexico City.
