Amadeus adds Ocean Village

Tuesday, 14 Jan, 2005 0

Informal cruise company Ocean Village is to distribute to the trade via Amadeus.

The line joins sister companies P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Swan Hellenic offering bookings through Amadeus Cruise.

Agents will be able access detailed information and process bookings online via the internet with the system. Cabin photographs and deck plans of the line’s single ship will also be available.

Ocean Village was previously available electronically on viewdata only.

The line’s head of marketing Gill Haynes said: “The addition of Ocean Village will allow agents to accelerate the booking process by using a single, graphical system. New passengers will also appreciate the speed of information offered by travel agents using automation rather than relying on busy call centres.”

Nine cruise lines are now available through Amadeus Cruise, which can be used by any UK agent using the internet regardless of their GDS affiliation.
