Amadeus North America unveiled a new business unit and market offering, Agenta, which the company says gives smaller travel agencies a way to remain competitive by changing the way they do business. Agenta arms agents with a booking application that helps them earn more revenues by booking a range of GDS and non-GDS travel inventory, including air, cars, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, shore excursions and insurance. Even web fares and low-cost air carriers will be available, according to Amadeus. Agenta promises through its extensive and long-standing preferred suppliers programs to allow agents to earn 100 percent commissions, even for air bookings, according to Amadeus. Agenta is now available in the U.S. and will be rolled out in Canada in the coming months. For more information , agents can visit www.goagenta.com. Report by David Wilkening
