Amadeus to integrate Evolvi for rail bookings

UK rail content is being made available to the corporate travel market through an arrangement by Amadeus.

The company is to integrate the Evolvi online booking engine into Amadeus e-Travel Management (AeTM) enabling corporations to book air, hotel, car and rail services without logging into multiple online booking tools.

This provides a single log-on for content that combines the display and booking of rail, car, hotel and air travel.

This will assist Association of Train Operating Companies’ licensed travel management companies in the management of their corporate accounts’ rail programmes through  using Evolvi’s ticket fulfilment options, Amadeus claimed.

Evolvi trade relations director Jon Reeve said: “We believe that Amadeus’ rail customers will benefit greatly from this partnership.

“From inception, Evolvi was designed with business travel buyers in mind and it has developed into a leading booking tool for the corporate rail sector, offering end users convenient access to the UK rail product within a travel policy compliant purchasing environment.”

Amadeus UK & Ireland marketing director Una Bennett said: “In a market where efficiencies are key to controlling costs and growing business, weare confident that by integrating Evolvi into our corporate travel management solution we can help our corporate customers streamline their travel booking processes.

“Evolvi has established a strong growth pattern, testament to the solution’s efficacy, and we look forward to working with them to deliver the benefits of integration to our customers.

“This latest enhancement to Amadeus e-Travel Management perfectly complements Amadeus’ own investment in the development of new rail booking solutions for our travel agency partners.”
