Amanda Bolger joins Qantas PR
Amanda Bolger, head of Virgin Blue PR since the airline launched, has joined the Qantas media relations team.
Ten years and a baby later, and after a regime change at Virgin Blue, she has been appointed PR and Communications Manager for Qantas.
Virgin Blue recently rejected claims by two other PR executives that they were discriminated against and forced out for being pregnant or taking parental leave.
Action will be launched in the Federal Magistrates Court in Brisbane by legal firm Maurice Blackburn, representing the pair, after mediation through Fair Work Australia failed to resolve the claims.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 23.
