American Airlines adds more Miami-St.Criox flights for summer
American Airlines is adding a third daily flight from Miami to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands for the summer.
The extra departure will operate each day on 172-seat Boeing 737 aircraft from June 4 to August 17, 2020.
It has been welcomed by the department of tourism and expects it to be a success, said tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte.
American is also added a third flight to St. Croix for a temporary period to meet demand during the Thanksgiving holidays.
In addition, the airline said it is expanding Charlotte-St. Croix flights from the Saturday-only service to a daily operation during the peak Christmas period.
Boschulte recently announced 5% growth in air arrivals to St. Croix from January to August this year.
