American Airlines boosts its London-Miami service
American Airlines will double the freuqency on its Heathrow-Miami route this winter.
The move means there will be one extra flight a day operating from Monday to Friday from October-March from Heathrow to Miami International Airport with codeshare partner British Airways, which flies three times a day.
Rhett Workman, managing director of London Heathrow for American Airlines, said: "This will be American’s biggest year yet at Heathrow with an additional flight to Miami and new year-round service to Phoenix.
"We’re not only giving customers in the UK increased access to the warm winter sun destinations they want, but also working with our partner British Airways to better meet the demand for premium seats in important markets and connecting hubs like Philadelphia."
Meanwhile, its joint business partner British Airways will operate three additional flights per week to Philadelphia.
BA will increase its daily Heathrow-Philadelphia service with additional flights on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
