American Airlines launches group booking platform
American Airlines has rolled out a new digital platform to streamline group travel booking for travel trade partners.
It allows travel advisors to receive real-time visibility in all aspects of group travel, enabling them to book, manage and modify bookings at any time.
It is already available for European points of sale, and will be rolled out in North America in early 2021.
The new solution offers an enhanced search function for availability and pricing for multi-sector and multi-origin itineraries.
It sends automatic alerts for deadlines to accept quotes, enter traveler names and ticket travel.
The airline says it vastly speeds up the process for group bookings which has traditionally been a multi-step process waiting several hours or even days for a quote.
"Travel advisors will enjoy a convenient one-stop shopping experience that empowers them to manage nearly every aspect of their customers’ travel," said Kyle Mabry, the airline’s Global Head of Leisure, Groups and Middle Market Sales.
The new platform will roll out globally within the next couple of years.
American recently introduced an upgraded AirPass account management platform allowing users to make real-time decisions for customers with more fare transparency and full itinerary visibility.
