American Airlines suspending Sydney flights
American Airlines has been forced to trim its summer schedule of international flights including its Los Angeles and Sydney route. It will temporarily suspend flights to Sydney due to delays in new aircraft deliveries from Boeing.
It leaves the airline short of the required planes needed to fly a full schedule. It will also suspend planned flights between Seattle and London, and Dallas to Santiago, Chile.
American said Boeing promised to hand over 13 new 787 Dreamliners this year but it will likely only get 10 of them in 2022.
