American’s global sales chief to head Virgin America

American Airlines senior vice-president of global sales David Cush has been named CEO of Virgin America.
He repleaces outgoing CEO Fred Reid who as required to leave the new US domestic carrier under terms of its approval to start operations by the Us Department of Transportation.
Cush has 20 years experience at American and was chief operating officer of Aerolineas Argentinas.
