Amsterdam Botelier Wins Social Award
On October 4, during the gala dinner of Black Women Business Netherlands (ZZVN), held in the World Trade Centre in Rotterdam, in the presence of many public figures and 600 guests from Canada and Europe, Sandra Chedi – Director owner of Amstel Botel BV in Amsterdam, was declared black businesswoman Netherlands 2008. The prize was awarded by State Secretary of Justice N. Albayrak.
“With her extensive trade knowledge and remarkable vision for the hotel industry, Sandra succeeded in creating a new power to attract tourists to Amsterdam. Moreover, her company is innovative and challenging benefiting both the city of Amsterdam and the national hotel industry.†Said the ZZVN
“With a keen eye for opportunities, and the ability to mobilize the right people in the right place, Sandra has built bridges between numerous parties to jointly achieve desired goals.â€
“Both Botel customers and staff see her as a real self-made woman who, despite all her successes, still remains modest and approachable. Sandra’s vision of society and business is reflected in the many special projects which she helps develop both in the profit if the non-profit sector.â€
