Friday, 27 Jun, 2016 0
Anantara has announced details of the opening of its second luxury resort in Sri Lanka.

Anantara Kalutara, situated one hour from Colombo on the southwest coast, features 141 guest rooms, including private pool villas.

It is slated to open in October 2016.

The hotel has restaurants serving Italian, Thai, Indian and Chinese cuisines, and its own on-site cooking school.

Extensive leisure amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, a water sports centre offering jet skiing, water skiing and banana rides and a kids club.

There are two meeting rooms and a 500-seater conference centre, which is expected to open later in March 2017.

This becomes the second Sri Lankan resort for Anantara, following the opening last January of Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle.

The brand now has a presence in more than 30 locations in Thailand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Zambia, the UAE and Qatar.
