Another £1 seat sale from Ryanair
Ryanair has put 1 million seats up for sale at £1 each way, including taxes and charges, for travel until December 25.
Bookings for its Winter Seat Sale must be made on its website before midnight on Sunday (October 5).
The airline used the launch of its low-fares promotion to hit out at rival airlines British Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa and Aer Lingus for their “unjustified†fuel surcharges.
It called on passengers to take advantage of its offer to tell other airlines how they will “no longer tolerate†unfair surcharges.
The airline said oil prices have fallen by over 30% in recent weeks.
“Greedy airlines need to realise that passengers are no longer willing to pay unjustified fuel surcharges,†said Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara.
“Airlines such as BA, Air France, Aer Lingus and Lufthansa were quick to impose and increase fuel surcharges as fuel prices rose. However, they are less responsive to the fall in fuel prices and passengers are yet to see any of these airlines reduce or remove the surcharges they impose.â€
