Apple Leisure signs new Punta Cana resort
Apple Leisure Group is expanding its footprint yet again in the Dominican Republic.
The company has agreed its third new management deal this year in the country with Now Onyx Punta Cana resort slated to break ground early next month.
Located in the Uvero Alto area of Punta Cana, the 500-room resort is scheduled to open in late-2016.
It will become the second Now Resorts & Spas property in the Punta Cana region.
"Apple Leisure Group has made a concerted effort to expand in the Dominican Republic in 2015," said Alex Zozaya, Apple Leisure Group CEO.
"Our relationship with hotel owners in the Dominican Republic has consistently grown over the years," added Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Apple.
The company has a portfolio of 37 resorts currently open with 10 additional hotels scheduled to open within the next three years.
