APT adds a sleep in Seattle
Earlybird savings of up to $5,600 per couple including a free night and tour in Seattle are features on a new package in APT World Discoveries Canada & Alaska 2008 brochure released to agents today (Monday).
APT General Manager Sales and Marketing, Chris Hall said that by finishing in Seattle, the new 22-days holiday provided an additional major city experience.
“Rather than just include Seattle as the departure point for the Alaskan cruise, our passengers get time to truly experience what this exciting city has to offer. This is all in addition to the APT combination of stunning mountains, rivers, gorges, lakes, glaciers, bears, dogs, moose, whales and porpoises with luxurious ships, trains, coaches and hotels,” he said. “The charming waterfront city of Seattle is a new way to wrap up the trip.”
This Earlybird offer, which is expected to sell out, is priced from $10,495 (airfare and taxes must be paid in full by December 14) ex Sydney, Melbourne for example.
A second offer is the lead-in 21-days Rockies Explorer and Alaskan Cruise priced from $9,995 per person, (price freeze from 2006) featuring an Earlybird saving of up to $5,000 per couple.
Prices include return airfares, rail and coach, premium accommodation, cruising and most meals. Airport taxes and port charges from about $850 per person apply.
Mr Hall said as well as the Seattle addition, competitive pricing and attractive Earlybird offers, APT continues its commitment to offering its cruises of Alaska exclusively with Holland America Line. As a result, APT has the advantage of securing more of the highly sought after Verandah Staterooms than any other operator in Australia.
Mr Hall said an additional feature was that cruises always followed the touring in the itinerary, so guests could relax onboard the luxurious ship after exploring on land. APT has made a corporate decision not to compromise the itinerary or the product for the sake of increasing capacity.
APT also offers guaranteed upgrades to view rooms at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Banff Springs and Victoria and to GoldLeaf Class on Rocky Mountaineer.
APT’s hallmark Freedom of Choice features throughout, which allow guests to tailor touring activities and dining experiences, at no extra cost.
APT’s new brochure features 13 Canadian Rockies and Alaska tours and three tours of Eastern Canada. There are also three Alaska Cruise & Land tours and four small group tours.
They range from 12 days (e.g. from $8,895 per person Rockies Explorer) to 30 days (e.g. from $14,695 Rockies, Alaska Cruise & East Coast).
