APT creates new BDM role for homeworkers
River cruise and touring specialist APT continued the expansion of its trade support team announcing a first-ever Business Development Manager role dedicated to homeworkers.
Becky Baumbach, an experienced member of the APT & Travelmarvel team, will take on the position from 1 December 2022 to develop sales, relationships and opportunities in partnership with homeworking agents.
To support APT’s homeworking community more closely, the new role will include leading of an extensive training programme and creating customer and engagement events to help boost sales.
She will engage relevant head offices and support them with marketing and sales campaigns to increase their business and revenues.
“As we all seek more flexibility in our working lives, homeworking has exploded post-pandemic”, said Brad Bennetts, Head of Sales & Business Development for APT & Travelmarvel, UK & Europe.
“We recognise that homeworking agents are an integral part of our industry, and we want to ensure that they are equipped with all the necessary support.”
APT has reported record sales, having recently launched new Travelmarvel Contemporary Ships in Europe, and moving into Egypt, Jordan & Israel for the first time.
The operator’s expansion into new destinations and launch of new ships will continue in 2023.
APT is now actively recruiting for a new Business Development Manager to cover the UK’s Southwestern region, previously covered by Becky.
