Arrests made after two dead in Sri Lanka theme park accident
Authorities in Sri Lanka have made six arrests after a second person died following a theme park accident this week.
A 13-year-old girl succumbed to injuries sustained when a ferris wheel collapsed at the park in Naiwala.
The girl’s 47-year-old mother has already passed away.
Police in Veyangoda district had opened an investigation and have arrested six people including owner of the theme park.
A manager, the ride operator and three technicians were also detained.
No charges have been publically filed although all will appear at a local magistrates court, local media reported.
