Artist Gets a Facelift
Although she has been listed as for sale, Paul Gauguin Shipping Limited reports that the Paul Gauguin will undergo a US$6 million renovation during a quick drydock in Brisbane, between Jan 25 and Feb 5, 2009.
This lift is reportedly designed to enhance the already aesthetrically stunning five-plus-star vessel’s existing classic Polynesian elegance.
The renovations will include converting 26 oceanview staterooms to balcony staterooms; modifying and refurbishing the vessel’s casual poolside restaurant, Le Grill; expanding the al fresco dining space for the ship’s La Veranda restaurant; an Internet area upgrade; a fitness centre upgrade; new sports boats for the water sport activities; extensive restoration of all public areas, and refreshing all staterooms and suites.
