Ash cloud leads to more Bali flight cancellations
Airlines have cancelled flights to Bali again due to further eruptions from Indonesia’s Mount Raung.
Virgin Australia and Jetstar have grounded flights to the island today and tomorrow as experts warned that winds ‘blowing in an unfavourable direction’ would send dangerous ash clouds over Denpasar.
The airlines told passengers not to go to airports but to monitor the situation online and offered them the chance to switch to other destinations.
There has been disruption on and off to Bali flights since early July.
