Asia Pacific a growing market for Colombia tourism
Travelmole.tv recently spoke with Colombia based DMC Promotora Neptuno about plans to promote its tours and tourism product in Asia Pacific.
Speaking at ITB Asia, marketing manager Stephan Stober explained that Neptuno is part of a larger consortium known as the Latin America Travel Concept, and its core business is organizing tours for groups and individuals in Colombia.
"We sell a variety of tours including nature trips, culture, adventure, beach holidays and MICE business," Stober says.
"As a German-Colombian company we have a strong German-speaking client base which accounts for about 50% of business."
Other significant markets for Neptuno are Spain, North America and the UK and Asia is a key market the company hopes to exploit further.
"Asia and particularly Australia are important markets for us. Although it is still a small proportion of business, demand in Asia Pacific is slowly growing," Stober said, adding that attending events such as ITB Asia is key to gaining exposure and building strategic partnerships in the region.
