The American Society of Travel Agents has launched a business ethics course for agents.

The Business Integrity and Ethical Standards course, which is also open to non members of ASTA, covers topics like agency relationships, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

Created by ASTA general counsel Peter Lobasso, it features a  60-page handbook, video, and 40-question quiz.

"Agents completing the course will be in a better position to assess their vulnerability to lawsuits and also to identify areas where changes might be advisable," Lobasso said in a statement.

ASTA members get the course for $39 while non members pay $225.

ASTA has also updated its Regulatory Compliance handbook and course to reflect changing rules on selling travel to Cuba and how to disclose mandatory hotel resort fees to clients.
