ASTRA: Agents invited to test new AI search chatbot
Travel agents are being invited to test a proprietary new AI Search Chatbot.
Launched by Go There Travel, “ASTRA” (Assistant Travel Advisor) provides agents with their own personalised AI search chatbot and can be customised for each agent.
Founder Ian Campness said: “It’s a customised sales-conversion tool and launch-ready to help agents convert more sales, especially for independent and homeworking travel consultants.”
“The link to their own AI Search chatbot can be incorporated into their website and in any sales emails or social media posts”.
Feature USPs
The ‘one-stop’ AI app unlocss the data of a ChatGPT 4 search with the experience and destination knowledge of a travel consultant.
At the same time, it instantly sends the agent an email with full search details so the agent can respond to a better qualified lead.
The new app also includes key influencing features in holiday planning – videos, location maps and images to help customers decide if suggested touring itineraries, resorts, cities or experiences are right for their next holiday.
“Comments from agents testing our prototype encouraged us that agents are recognising the impact of AI and how it is rapidly changing consumers buying behaviour in searching and planning their next holiday,” Champness added.
Agents are looking for a tech solution to meet this shift in holiday planning. Exactly what our AI search chatbot delivers.”
OpenAI’s ‘Agent’. Threat or Opportunity?
Some in the agent sector might see the launch of OpenAI’s ‘Agent’ as a threat as it effectively enables and entrusts a consumer to ask ‘Agent to do the whole booking. According to Champness: “We see it as an timely opportunity for agents to highlight the missing link – the all-important human touch and input that makes the combination such a powerful proposition”.
He calls it ‘the best of both worlds.’
“We want agents to test our new AI search App, so for the first 50 agents to sign up, they can trial the new app free for two months. If they want to continue for a further 12 months, we are offering an “early adopter” subscription and support setup fee of £99.
