ATOL releases new explainer video
A new ‘What is ATOL’ video has been released, which outlines what the ATOL scheme is and how it works.
It is aimed at British holidaymakers booking a package trip that includes a flight.
The video gives a brief outline of the steps ATOL takes to protect passengers if their holiday company ceases trading.
It details how it assists travellers to get home if they are already overseas or enabling them to make a claim for a refund.
The request cannot be completed because you have exceeded your quota.Holidaymakers are reminded to check a company has ATOL protection before booking and to take out travel insurance.
It also outlines what the ATOL scheme is unable to do for travellers, like assisting with cancellations and delays, and complaints about, for example, the accommodation and food.
The 90 second explainer video can be seen on ATOL digital channels, including YouTube, Facebook. Instagram and X (Twitter).
