Attraction World appoints new senior team
Attraction World has appointed a new senior team following its acquisition of Days Out With The Kids earlier this month.
Under the new structure, Simon Applebaum will become managing director, allowing former MD Paul Stobbs to focus on Days Out With The Kids as managing director.
Stobbs will retain an active involvement in Attraction World as group CEO.
Former Attraction World sales and marketing director, Tony Seaman, will take on day to day responsibilities for brand and product within Days Out With The Kids but will also act as chief operating officer at a group level.
Applebaum, who will lead Attraction World’s 60-strong staff based in Kings Norton, joined the theme park and attraction ticket specialist in 2013 as head of marketing, being given responsibility for product & commercial and joining the board in 2014.
He previously held marketing, commercial and IT roles at Thomas Cook.com, Club 18-30 and Affinion International Travel.
Nick Hughes will become director of sales and marketing for Attraction World while Paul Cripps will continue as finance director across the group.
Paul Stobbs said: "We have great confidence in Simon to further grow Attraction World, his experience leaves the business in safe and ambitious hands and we can’t wait to see the next chapter of the business come to fruition."
Stobbs and Seaman plan to use Days Out With The Kids to increase their presence in the UK attraction market.
The deals with UK suppliers will also provide more product for Attraction World to sell.
The Days Out with the Kids site will be transformed over the next year to enable seamless booking through tie-ups with suppliers.
