Austin Tourism showcases leisure and meetings with new destination videos
Visit Austin has released new Austin tourism and meetings marketing videos, to promote the destination in a new and creative way.
The videos, which highlight the “sounds of the city,” features more than 27 local businesses, artists and more.
Visit Austin will use these new videos, along with 10 district videos still in production, to market the city to leisure and meetings travelers.
They will be exposed via social media, digital advertising, broadcast, industry tradeshows and more.
Both the leisure and meetings marketing videos can be viewed on Visit Austin’s YouTube channel.
Working with Austin-based creative agency, Arts+Labor, the Visit Austin team selected a thematic concept which highlights the “sounds of the city.”
The idea being that when visitors experience the Live Music Capital of the World, it is like listening to the world’s best music mashup.
The food and culture all come together to form a soundtrack of the city, it says
The 27 local businesses and musicians featured in the video include:
David Ramirez
The Saddle Sores
Lesly Reynaga
Daniel Fears
Brigitte Bandit
The Octopus Project
Ah Sing Den
Antone’s Nightclub
Austin FC
Austin Motel
Breakaway Records

Cheer Up Charlies
Circuit of The Americas

The Visit Austin and Arts+Labor teams are also working on 10 district videos of districts near downtown, East Austin, West Austin, Domain/North, Central Austin and South Austin.
“This project was a great opportunity to highlight Austin’s live music, local businesses and unique districts around the city,” said Tom Noonan, Visit Austin President & CEO.
