Australian specialists clamber aboard education cruise
SYDNEY – The International Cruise Council Australasia’s annual Masters Conference at Sea to Alaska, has sold out in record time.
Council general manager Brett Jardine said demand for the annual event showed Australian travel agents were keen to hone their cruise knowledge and sales skills in order to maximise their revenue streams.
“The Masters Conference has booked out quickly again – this time in less than three months. It’s very encouraging that more and more travel agents are recognising the valuable contribution cruise sales can make to their bottom lines,†Jardine said.
Sailing from Seattle along the Inside Passage on September 20 onboard Holland America Line’s Westerdam, the seven-night Masters Conference will take in the spectacular scenery of Glacier Bay and intriguing ports of Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan in Alaska as well as Victoria in Canada.
Designed to enhance Council-accredited agent’s sales and marketing skills and provide more detailed cruise knowledge to help boost their sales, the conference will also feature special guest speaker Scott Koepf, a US-based trainer of travel agents and motivational speaker with 26 years of retail experience.
Agents will gain Masters accreditation by attending all the conference sessions and completing a post-conference work-based case study.
Cruise Council Masters accredited agents are the among the most knowledgeable cruise experts in the industry and receive priority listings in the Council’s consumer travel agent search facility on its website.
