Australian Tourism consultancy to focus on India
CelticaConsult, a network and partnership of leading Australian and global tourism leaders and consultants, operating out of Australia, announced today that India is to be a key focus and target for their future tourism and leisure consulting work.
John Alwyn-Jones, Managing Director of CelticaConsult said, “on a visit to Andhra Pradesh in November 2005, with three key senior CelticaConsult consulting colleagues, we were absolutely amazed by the future potential of the tourism industry in India”.
He added, “In detailed sessions with private and public sector partners during our visit, it became very apparent that while there was tremendous goodwill and significant tourism expertise in India, there was also a very substantial requirement for leading, professional, global consulting expertise, to assist the Indian tourism industry in maximising the potential benefit of tourism to India, its people and all that entails economically and culturally.”
The CelticaConsult team visit to India included reviewing consulting aspects of some very significant projects, including Strategic Marketing Planning, Strategic Operational Planning and Tactical Implementation for major themed leisure and entertainment venues and Strategic Major Event Acquisition Marketing and Tactical Implementation for the owners of major event venues. The team also looked at significant historic sites and their potential tourism interpretation and presentation.
Mr Alwyn-Jones added, “while CelticaConsult is based in Australia, we have all worked globally and have brought together some of world’s leading tourism business and management consultants to form a formidable business consulting and advisory network, providing a unique range of skills and expertise in relation to projects in a number of areas, including:
– Marketing – International and Domestic: Strategy and Implementation; Operations Management: Strategy and
– Implementation; Sales; Strategic Planning; Tactical Implementation; Sales and Distribution; Financial Structures and
– Management; Human Resources and Recruitment; Customer Service and Care; Training; Facilitation; Media & Public
– Relations; Sponsorship; Marketing Communications; and Interim Management.
Mr Alwyn-Jones added, “We offer unprecedented breadth and depth of expertise, total turnkey solutions and a one stop shop for all project needs and our immediate plans now included contacting and speaking with a wide range of public and private sector operators in India, including with Tourism Ministers and Tourism Officials at National and State levels throughout India, to offer our services to assist with the speedy and efficient development of all aspects of India’s tourism infrastructure and marketing.
We are already working closely with Austrade in Australia and India, with the Indian Consulate and with the Government of India Tourist Office in Sydney and we need to now discuss how we can assist in releasing this tremendous tourism potential with potential partners in India”.
We are also keen to explore Joint Ventures with like minded India based tourism organisations to provide to us the required “on the ground” expertise, enabling speedier market penetration.
In the meantime, if public and/or private sector organisations in India wish to make contact with CelticaConsult and take advantage of their leading edge global tourism consulting skills and expertise or discuss potential JV’s, John Alwyn-Jones’
