Automated web password entry application unvieled

Tuesday, 08 Sep, 2005 0

Siber Systems Inc. announced what it called the first automated password entry application for USB drives.

The Pass2Go allows travelers and others a one-click login to web sites and easy access to contacts, bookmarks and encrypted text notes.

Users can load Pass2Go onto an existing USB drive, plug it into any USB port, and automatically log into online accounts, fill in online forms as needed or access address books.

Pass2Go can also be used at internet cafes, libraries, convention halls, airports or other sites.

Siber Systems says USB drives, despite their reputation as a ”dumb storage” device, are ripe for this kind of transformation. Sales of up to 120 million of the devices are expected in 2005, making them amenable to storing portable data.
