AVANI checking in to South Korea

Thursday, 27 Feb, 2017 0
Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group is branching out in Asia Pacific with a planned debut for the AVANI brand in South Korea.

A management agreement has been inked for the new-build 400 room AVANI Busan with developer UL Group and is slated to open in 2019.

The hotel will feature all-day dining, event and meeting rooms, a rooftop bar, a Korean bathhouse and spa, fitness centre and swimming pool.

In addition it will include 136 branded residences.

"We are excited to announce our first property in South Korea in the dynamic city of Busan, which is the perfect fit for our upscale AVANI brand. South Korea is an important feeder market for Minor Hotels and we also see a lot of opportunity as an inbound market, both for this new AVANI and potentially for future Minor Hotels’ properties as well," said William E. Heinecke, chairman and CEO of Minor International.

Upscale contemporary style brand AVANI launched five years ago and now numbers 17 hotels in operation.

Current properties can be found in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Seychelles, Mozambique, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zambia and the UAE.
