Avolon leases Dreamliner to TAAG Angola Airlines
Aviation finance company Avolon has inked a sale and leaseback deal for one new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to TAAG Angola Airlines.
This is Avolon’s first aircraft on lease to flag carrier TAAG and the airline has already taken delivery of the jet.
It will support TAAG’s long-haul network expansive.
Its fleet of 18 aircraft already fly to multiple destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Paul Geaney, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Avolon, said: “We are proud to welcome TAAG Angola Airlines as a new customer and support the growth of their widebody fleet. Africa is expected to be one of the fastest growing regions for aviation over the next twenty years.”
