Azamara removes pre-boarding tests

Sunday, 20 Jul, 2022 0

Azamara is removing Covid-19 testing requirements at embarkation starting 25 July, 2022.

It comes as the U.S. CDC ended its cruise ship monitoring program allowing cruise lines to set their own protocols.

It excludes ports where it is still required under specific country regulations.

Azamara will still require proof of vaccination prior to embarkation.

Azamara still recommends that all guests departing from any port get tested prior to travel, but those results will not be required to board an Azamara ship.

When embarking in a port where these protocols remain, guests will still need to produce a negative test before sailing.

“The easing of our testing policy marks a step in the right direction towards a return to normalcy for the travel and cruising industry,” said President of Azamara, Carol Cabezas.

Azamara crew are required to be fully vaccinated.

Covid-19 testing will continue to be available to guests onboard as needed.
