Azamara unveils sailings for Pursuit
Azamara Club Cruises has unveiled its 2018-19 sailings for its newest addition, Azamara Pursuit.
The ship, which was formerly Adonia and was bought from P&O Cruises earlier this year, will spend its first winter in South America.
The 690-passenger ship will dock in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro and will sail through scenic channels such as the Fjords of Chile and Ushuaia, Argentina, the furthest south deep-water port.
Guests can stop in Rio de Janeiro for New Year’s Eve 2018 and for Carnival in 2019, go stargazing in Atacama Desert, and sail to new-to-Azamara destinations like Lima in Peru and the Beagle Channel.
Before it is positioned in South America it will operate late summer itineraries from Southampton, England, and the Greek islands. Its debut will be a 10-night sailing from Barcelona to Southampton on August 3 following a major refurbishment.
President and CEO Larry Pimentel said: "By expanding our destination offerings, guests will be able to experience even more regions of the world and revisit regions we haven’t been to in some time now."
