BA and ebookers shares fall back

Travel and tourism shares experienced mainly downward moves yesterday as London’s main equity indices dropped back.

 

The FTSE 100 index dropped 12.9 points to close at 4545.6, while the broader-based FTSE 250 had a similar day, falling back 21.4 points to end the day at 6251.4.

 

The biggest moves of the day came at British Airways – which lost 5.5p to 221.5p as oil prices rose again – and ebookers, which had another reverse, dropping 9.5p to close at 230p.
