BA launches online commission scheme
British Airways has launched a marketing scheme that pays commission to websites which generate sales through carrying a BA ad.
The BA Affiliate Marketing Programme allows websites to choose a BA campaign ad from a selection and place it on their website. If consumers link through to ba.com from the ad and make a booking, the carrier will pay a commission of 2%.
To boost interest BA is offering affiliates double commission for the first two months.
The commission is paid out if a consumer books a flight within 30 days of visiting the affiliate website. Money is paid monthly for commissions over £25, and affiliates can view their commission reports on a secure website.
Affiliate websites must be construed by BA to be inoffensive and “compatible with ba.com”.
To apply fill out an application form on the dedicated website, http://ba.reporting.net/affiliates/pitch.
