BA puts 1.5 million cut price tickets on market
British Airways has launched its winter sale by claiming 1.5 million discounted seats to 150 destinations will be on the market.
The World Offers sale, featuring travel on selected dates throughout 2006, runs until January 31 with savings of up to 50%, the airline said.
Prices to New York start at £249, down from the current £380, Cairo and Abu Dhabi at £279, Orlando at £299, a saving of £170, and Barbados at £399, a £223 reduction.
The carrier said reduced fares are also available on new routes. Selected departures to Rekjavik, Varna and Izmir have been reduced by £10 to £139 with Tirana services cut by £20 to £185.
All new routes begin in March.
