BA reinstates sacked cabin crew
Five cabin crew sacked by British Airways during a strike two years ago have been reinstated, according to a report in The Sun today.
One is believed to have been fired for criticising a BA captain on Facebook and another was dismissed for making fun of Willie Walsh, who was BA chief executive at the time of the strike.
However, the airline confirmed in a statement to the newspaper that it had allowed the five to return to work. The decision follows months of talks between BA and trade unions Unite and BASSA.
The airline has also reinstated staff discounts and loyalty bonuses, which were removed during the strike.
