British Airways will launch the only non-stop flights to the Seychelles from the UK next year.

Starting on March 24, the service will operate from Heathrow Terminal 5.

Flights will operate weekly from March to October on BA’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Sean Doyle, British Airways’ director of network and alliances, said: "The Seychelles is one of the most beautiful places on earth and we’re delighted to be adding this collection of islands to our extensive route network."

The service will knock about three hours off the total travel time for those passengers who currently travel via the Middle East.

Return fares start from £699 in World Traveller,~ £999 in World Traveller Plus, £2,499 in Club World and from £3,499 for First.
