BA, Virgin Atlantic removing mask mandate
British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are dropping compulsory mask-wearing and London Heathrow Airport is also ditching its mask mandate from today.
Masks are still required on flights to Wales and Scotland as well as other destinations such as the US. Virgin said flights to Delhi, Islamabad, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Lahore, Lagos, Mumbai, Shanghai and Tel Aviv require masking up.
BA said it was ‘working through’ each destination’s local requirements. “Customers will only be required to wear a face covering if the destination they’re traveling to requires it,” the airline said.
