Bahamas Paradise unveils details of second ship

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line’s second ship will begin sailing on April 13.

The line confirmed the launch date and unveiled details of the ship which underwent a top-to-toe refurbishment.

The 1,680-passenger ship Grand Classica joins sister ship Grand Celebration at the Port of Palm Beach and also sails short cruises to Freeport, Bahamas.

The Grand Classica has 658 staterooms and 10 passenger decks, multiple dining venues including Admiral’s Steak & Seafood and the Ocean View Buffet, a kids’ club, two pools, spa, casino and conference space.

Accommodations include inside staterooms, ocean view staterooms, junior suites and suites.

The Grand Classica was formerly the Costa neoClassica and previously sailed in the Costa Cruises fleet.

With two ships the line expects to carry about half a million passengers a year.

"At 52,900 gross tons, Grand Classica complements Grand Celebration nicely," said Oneil Khosa, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line CEO.

"We are excited to add some new offerings, as well as bring all the popular outlets that we have on Grand Celebration for consistency with our guests."

The 1,800-passenger Grand Celebration returned sailing from Palm Beach in December after being chartered for FEMA relief work following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The Grand Classica is already open for bookings with a Buy-One, Get-One-Free introductory offer.
