The Bahamas ready to welcome travelers more than ever in 2026
Hospitality, off-grid authenticity, and personalized trips—2026 is shaping up to be a remarkable year for travelers seeking their own slice of paradise, and The Bahamas is ready to deliver. From award-winning beaches and sustainability initiatives to world-class luxury and coastal cuisine, the archipelago invites visitors to set the tone for the year ahead.
By the end of September 2025, The Bahamas had welcomed approximately 9.1 million total visitors, marking an 8.7% increase over the same period in 2024
Expanded Air Connectivity with Miami-Bimini
Travelers now have more ways to reach the Caribbean island. Following several new Bahamas-bound routes launched in late 2025—including Tradewind Aviation’s service from Fort Lauderdale to Marsh Harbour and North Eleuthera, JetBlue’s daily Boston-Nassau flight, and Delta’s expanded service from New York, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, and Minneapolis—American Airlines is adding the first regularly scheduled nonstop route from Miami to Bimini.
Launching February 14, 2026, the service will operate three times weekly, offering easy access to North and South Bimini’s beaches, snorkeling, fishing, and relaxed island culture. With seamless connections from dozens of U.S. and Canadian cities, travelers can enjoy serene escapes less than an hour from Miami.
