Bailey says that V Australia will boost tourism
Tourism Minister Fran Bailey said yesterday the introduction of V Australia across the Pacific route from late 2008 would deliver a much-needed boost to Australian tourism.
She said, “V Australia will deliver a shot in the arm to aviation capacity across the Pacific route.”
“Far too many Americans have missed out on a holiday to Australia due to a lack of capacity on the Pacific route.”
“More capacity and competition is critical to the future success of Australian tourism.”
“American tourism to Australia is already worth $2 billion, and with more capacity on the Pacific route, we can increase this value and create more jobs for Australians.”
