Bales produces region-specific brochures
Long haul specialist Bales Worldwide is replacing a single brochure with region-specific programmes.
The operator has also dropped high cost 0870 phone numbers with a dedicated low cost 0845 number which takes agents through to a regional expert.
The first of six brochures to be published – The Bales Collection – is designed to give an overview of key itineraries and destinations available for the period between January 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008.
The operator, which marks its 60th anniversary next year, will follow this up on weekly intervals until early September with brochures covering Egypt and the Middle East, India and the Subcontinent, Latin America, China and the Far East and Africa.
The tailor-made and escorted tours specialist says the move enables more detailed information on the holiday options and choices within the five regions to be given.
New countries added are Libya, Columbia and North Korea.
Sales and marketing director Iain Fenton said: “The new brochures are a direct response to research with travel agents and customers alike.
“More options and information in a more manageable format than our previous ‘one-stop’ 228-page brochure was required and we are giving customers just that. We believe that our new region-specific brochures will make life easier for everyone.”
