Bali & Beyond Travel Fair cancelled
As expected, Bali’s largest travel industry trade show it taking a break this year.
The annual Bali & Beyond Travel Fair, set for June 9-13, is postponed until 2021.
It will return to the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre on June 7-12, 2021.
According to organising committee chief, Ketut Ardana, BBTF took on board concerns from public health authorities about the health and safety of delegates and the lack of scheduled air services.
"We need to balance between protecting public health and mitigating the social and economic consequences of the pandemic," Ardana said.
Immigration and travel restrictions in Indonesia and lockdowns in major BBTF markets like Europe and India made it a non-starter.
The Bali Cultural Agency has also announced the cancellation of this year’s Bali Arts Festival, a month-long series of events which was due to kick off on June 13.
It will return next year.
