Bali warned to prepare for the Big Wet
If you are heading for Bali later this year, you may want to pack a raincoat and an umbrella. Perhaps even an Ark.
The local weather office has warned Bali residents to expect a La Niña weather phenomena that will peak in the November-December period.
La Nina effects are already being experienced with heavy rainfall on the island.
Weather forecasters say that the most threatening La Niña situation occurs when rain falls at an intensity exceeding 100 millimeters per hour for periods of more than two hours.
Typically, this condition quite literally “precipitates” flooding and landslides, says Bali Update – www.balidiscovery.com.
