Bali’s new offer: a tuck and a tan
Bali’s pioneers in medical tourism, BIMC Hospital Nusa Dua and the nearby Courtyard Marriott Bali have, in partnership, designed two packages specifically for Australian medical tourists.
Sun, Sand & Smile takes advantage of the hospital’s newly opened dental clinic and onsite lab.
Both the dental and CosMedic clinics are built, owned and managed by Australian medical professionals.
BIMC’s founder and CEO Craig Beveridge said Sun, Sand & Smile offered an opportunity "to get complicated dental like a crown done, along with a week’s stay in the Courtyard resort, for less than A$1,500".
He added that "wrinkle reducing injection treatment" could be obtained for less than A$450 with weekend accommodation at the Courtyard.
"And the ripper tan is thrown in free."
BIMC, designed by Perth-based medical architect Silver Thomas-Hanley, made headlines in 2012 for being Indonesia’s first quality medical care facility created specifically for medical travellers.
According to Michelle Kearney, editor in chief of Bella Media, a Sydney-based publisher of Cosmetic Surgery and Beauty: "This kind of quality dental and skin care would not have been possible in Bali prior to the opening of BIMC Hospital."
